Fashion Craft Needle and Yarn 1963 (Madge added a little text...)
Ah yes, the pom poms continue marching on! This is for Your Grandmother's Crafts, if you've not been there yet, go check it out! It's mostly eye candy at the moment, but there will be more to come!
I have been BURIED under a mountain of samples, literally. I still have mountains more straw to spin by Monday, but thankfully my husband has been helping or it would never all get done. I just wanted to give a couple of quick shout outs!
I'm international! The fabulously talented Jean Yates just emailed me a copy of her book review for New Dimensions in Bead and Wire Jewelry from Australian Beading Magazine! How delightful is that? Jean writes the best reviews by far! Thank you! (Did you know that you can get a signed copy of the book on my Books Page here for only 17.00 including shipping with a piece of ephemera from my collection tucked inside? Well...you can!)
Put a BEAD on it! Designing diva Cyndi Lavin has a new bead embroidery e-book: Three Bezels Plus a Bonus! Though we all know I lack the patience for this kind of bead work, but I have a deep and abiding admiration for those who can do it. Cyndi is a fabulous designer, writer and teacher, you simply have to go check it out!
I'll be back Monday with a new Retrofabulous project for iLoveToCreate...that is if I can get this straw pile spun in time! Wish me luck!
Love
Madge

GOOD LUCK!
The magazine cover is funny. Like your added pom pom text. We have some of these old magazines from the box of keepsakes from my grandma. They are pretty funny to look through, especially since some of the clothing she had made and we have photographs of us as kids wearing them.
Margot, you are truly da bomb! I love Portlandia...so I really appreciate your reference ;-)
