Since returning to the land of the living after my year abroad. Har har. I have been tweaking and tweaking this old blogger blog to get it up to date and in the flow with what's happening on the web. In case you didn't notice...it's not just a blog anymore, it's my website! I tried a bit of this and a skootch of that...and kept getting closer...but not quite there.
Today it all came together. I love when that happens!
Think of this as DIY for those of us who pay attention to fashion trends, but have developed our own fabulous sense of style and quite frankly, don't give a fiddler's flock if stripes are "out" or glittered pasties are "in."
Or is that stripes are "in" and glittered pasties are "out?"
Six of one, half a dozen of the other. Hmmm...glittered pasties...
Welcome to the new and improved www.margotpotter.com! Daring DIY for the Discriminating Diva.

This post, and the one you did about originality, really spoke to me. Current fashion is great for introducing new ideas, but I don't see it as Divine Law, and I'd rather take the parts I like and incorporate them into my own style. To heck with the rest!
I like the direction your website is going in!
Yes! That's it. Fashion is business, it has to keep changing so people feel compelled to have the 'latest' and 'coolest'...but at some point you start to develop your own style and are no longer a slave to trends.
