Dear Margot

Dear Margot,

I just picked up your book Beyond the Bead and I LOVE IT!!!!! It has been a long time since I bought a book and have been SO inspired!!! I have been crafting for the past two days and can't stop!!!! (I don't even want to go to work tomorrow!!!) I love the fact that your projects are easy to do and don't cost a lot of money. That is my kind of crafting! Once again, THANK YOU!!! I love your work!!!!! Brainstorming my next project,

Stacy Clayton : )

Thank you Stacy! You made my day. In light of Stacy's predicament, I've created a form letter anyone can present to the boss if they need to take a day or more off for a Beyond the Bead craftsravaganza.:

Dear (insert your boss's name here)

Please excuse (insert your name here) from work today. She/he purchased my new book Beyond the Bead. I had no idea when I wrote this book the power it might have to inspire binge crafting marathons. Do forgive. (Insert your name here) is not the least bit responsible for her/his need to craft beyond the bounds of decency or the regular work week.

Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. Hopefully (insert your name here) will be able to return to work fully crafted out in the near future, but it make take up to three full days to experience crafty saturation.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Warmest regards,
Margot Potter

Yeah, I've been meaning to post a thanks ever since I got Beyond the Bead for my wife for her birthday, but, um, well, I've poured all this UTEE everywhere now, and my wife's been getting a little stamp-happy, and now the cat's a little scared...
Major congrats on the books' success! Though, not at all surprising! And, thanks!

"any old comment"

Another fun post! Can't wait to get my copy of Beyond the Bead, but I'll have to for a day or two. Poor delivery guy, I hope I don't injure him when I rip the package from his hands in my hurry.

I would use the form letter, but I have an annual review coming up, so I think saying I've got a cold might be a better excuse...

I'm in love with your books, they're super informative and ridiculously inspiring. You've got me looking at the jewelry world in a new, different way! Who knew that crafting could be so easy?, and that making mistakes is just a part of it! I could never come close to thanking you enough, but I hope this comes close.

Very clever idea to create a letter ahead of time so that when inspiration hits you are all ready to stay home. Love it.
And that will be a great book to have to inspire me.

I'd just leave that letter on my fridge for my husband. Or, "Sorry, no laundry today, Margot got me jump-started!" haha!

Congratulations on the sales!!!

Love the book! All of my students were oooing and ahhhing over it when I brought the book to class. Several of them ran out and got their own copies!

Just wondering - think we can adapt the letter to use on our spouses to get out of housework?!?!

Congrats on all the success!

Margot, do you think the letter will work on my husband? Like, why the house is not clean, no dinner on the table, no clean laundry and no groceries in the house????

Warmly,

Love it! But since my 'Bosses' have 4 legs, I don't think they will buy it. Congrats on how well the books are doing, but I am not in the least surprised by it!

Congratulations on the book sales! How about a craft that uses dust bunnies? Seems a shame to have to get rid of them...
